Gundog Training for all breeds

Bridge the gap between the love for your four-legged companion and their inherent hunting instincts

Let’s embark on this adventure together!

We understand that many dog owners cherish the idea of nurturing their pet's natural talents, even if they're going to work them in the field or not. That's why we've tailored our training programs to cater to the unique needs of both pets and their devoted owners.

Our passion for strengthening the bond between pets and their human companions drives us to offer exceptional pet gundog training services. We recognize that many dogs with gundog breeds possess innate abilities that can be harnessed to enhance their manners, responsiveness, and overall well-being. Raychel is here to guide you through this exciting journey, whether you're a seasoned gundog enthusiast or a pet owner looking to explore your dog's potential.

“Really Enjoyable”

"Ralph and I have started gun dog training with Raychel. We’ve really enjoyed doing something different together and Raychel is an excellent teacher. Ralph can be reactive but was soon at ease with Raychel"

 FAQs

  • Absolutely! Our 1:1 training sessions involve you, the owner, as an active participant. I believe in empowering dog owners to be involved in the training process, as it strengthens the bond between you and your dog and promotes consistent communication.

  • Whilst I cannot guarantee specific results, my training programmes are designed to achieve positive changes. I can’t wait to give you the support and guidance you need, to help you and your dog succeed.

  • I use positive reinforcement techniques, focusing on rewarding desired behaviours rather than punishing unwanted ones. This approach ensures a safe and enjoyable learning environment for your dog and promotes long-term behavioural changes.

  • Skills such as recall, heel, retrieves (patterns and delivery), whistle cues (stop, turn, recall, hunt), go round, steadiness - depending on your dogs level

  • Treats, favourite toy, dummies (if you have them), whistle, clicker, water & water bowl, bed or mat, comfortable harness or standard collar, short/long leash

  • We train dogs to heel initially on a comfortable harness, then on a standard collar and clip on lead. Only when your dog walks to heel reliably would we use a limited slip lead (double stopper to ensure it is unable to tightened fully)
